I can think of more than a few shrines that gave me trouble (though I have beaten all of them pretty quickly) and the dungeon system was new and a bit confusing to get used too. So I can see your point.

I meant the puzzles in the shrines. Many can be cheezed by stasising the giant testicle and dunking it directly.

There's one I've yet to come back to. There are quite a few which I've found, let's say "creative" solutions to, which at first I didn't believe would work. Then I was giddy af when they did work.

I don't think any of the ball in a cup shrines are the ones that have given me much trouble so far.

As a game it's definitely 10/10. Just some minor technical issues really drag it down (namely button remapping and frame drops while docked).
Otherwise it's utterly fantastic. Easily the best Zelda to date. It was very, very well thought out and it's clear a ton of work went into the game.

It's very different from the standard Zelda, which is about the only reason I see people disliking it.

My main complaint with it is the story, it just felt pretty thin, and had a lot more potential to be fleshed out in juicy depth, but I'm hoping the coming DLC will help that somewhat. Superb game though.

For me BotW doesn't need rating.
Why? I know that game is good when it manages to take me to that world, experience story, react to it and make me feel sad or happy with Story. The feeling of beating something hard is very rewarding. This isn't your typical Zelda game and that's why i love it. You have many puzzles, it's not just slash few points and continue.

People have different opinions, but my opinion is that this game is just for me... as a long Zelda fan which even beated NES The Legend of Zelda, i just can't help but love it. It's perfect.

Does a game have to be perfect to get a 10/10 score? It seems to me like the best possible score, not a percentage.

And yes, to me, the game deserves a 10/10 5/5 40/40, etc. based on my 50 or so hours with it.

Eh, in that case, the only one that was difficult to figure out for me was that one with the constellations. But only because the hint was very vague

I've only just started but I feel that the world is nothing but Vacant grassland and hills. The world could easily be shrunk down 50% and not have any content cut.

It was very difficult at the start when I wandered about randomly and found random Lynels and Guardians roaming around, but I don't think I died once after getting about 8 hearts. Took quarter heart of damage on the final boss.

Puzzles? Nah. Everything (except the constellations puzzle) was really easy to figure out.

What? You never fell off a cliff? Ran out of Stamina while climbing?
You're joking, right? I died like 50 times already!

Ah. Kinda the same experience for me. I see a bunch of videos of other people playing the game and not really using the combat system effectively and dying because they don't know that guardian beams can be reflected with shields.

Even if you run out of Stamina while climbing a cliff, you can still use the paraglider for a couple seconds on no stamina. So, nope.

"Ran out of stamina while climbing"
I hate when that happens, all that work goes down the drain and I feel despair, then I climb again a different way.

Personally, so far I think the game is ok but severely overhyped and it has it's flaws both technical(frame rate drops) and from a design point.

Things like the weapon degradation system have reduced my enjoyment of the game, the stamina gauge is annoying and I feel that the world is in many ways too big for what it contains.

7 out of 10 is what I feel it's closer to if I had to rate it (again so far).

You're ****ing kidding me, I'm wondering now if I need to pick up a strategy guide for the first time in years because of things like this.
