I would imagine that the cartridge has some extra data on it, for verification, like what gets removed from BBB's rips.

Hence why the digital copy is smaller, doesn't need that little bit extra.

I'm assuming this picture was taken from a game, but it's actually incorrect and probably is better off not shared online. Copying games isn't illegal. It's the act of sharing that's against the law. That's like saying it's illegal to rip the CDs you own into MP3s

I Agree, America is not the law (Thank God. Fuck this country these days. It's run by criminals). But just as you said, the picture cites an american law, and does so with the spread of misinformation and scare tactics. This is like idiots in America who say you can't draw on money. You can. You simply can't deface (American) money in an attempt to mislead someone as to it's value (counterfeiting) or to intentionally render it unfit to be re-issued (mutilating, cutting, etc).
