First they had to find out that the problem exists and they had to reproduce the problem. That took 1-2 weeks (if we can belive their messages). Now they have to figure out a fix (that can take a half week) and they have to test it (I think that they'll need 1-2 weeks).
But I'm not a member of the team and I it's just a guess.

i know its been some time but still no updates on/from r4ids.cn, i even sent another email to them asking if they have had any progress with it and i have not got anything back

its hard to think that there are still more ppl just finding this prob. out now

They told me "Sorry we cant tell how long but we are still working on it for sure...."

Its maybe 1-3 months or a year. Just say sorry. I ask they announce about this problem on r4ids.cn index clearly. Its need for me to explain my customer why their card couldnt update while the r4ids.cn index is announce patch is out more than 2 weeks.

It doesn't look like R4iDS.cn will update their Rev C Metroid cards... Just my luck since I went from Acekard to R4iDS.cn lol. Should've went straight for Supercard DSTWO, how are they for updates? I'm worried that as soon as I buy a Supercard, Nintendo will release an update rendering my card useless.

The DSTWO usually release an update to fix 3DS and DSi firmware upgrades within hours.

So all cars with the Metroid Prime Demo Icon's cannot be updated with the newst r4ids.cn patch? What hardware version of the card do I have?

r4i gold 3ds(r4ids.cn) has just updated its 3ds4.5.0-10 & NDSi V1.4.5 patch.
It seems that Rev9 & Rev A can be updated now.

Still not working on my revision C card although it says they're still working on "those few revision c". I'll keep my fingers crossed.
