Gaming Fire Emblem Warriors Lag and Freeze

I recently picked back up in FE:W and found that once I got to the final 3 stages, the first two started to frame drop pretty badly at parts while the endgame stage would go to a black screen and stay that way, and I'm unsure as to what might be the problem. Any ideas?
[I'm on a N3DSXL, Ver. 11.6, B9S and the game is digital btw]

If you're running version 1.2 of the game try grabbing 1.2.1 off the eShop.

I don't know about anybody else's situation, but it doesn't show up for me.
