Hacking Ez Flash 3in1 Mother 3 not saving

Hello,

After flashing the game to nor and playing up to the first save point, the game isn't holding the save when I turn it back on, and simply offers the option for a new game again.

Any workaround for this?

i suppose the battery inside the cart is dead?
