krikkz redesigned a lot the new x series carts..
he mentioned he was trying to replace all his flash based carts with psram.. so he made plenty of changes...
i don't think it's an easy feest as getting the rtc module and solder it... otherwise he already had done it in the first place... (a feature everyone pestered him with)
well you can have 2 for pokemon trading or something like that? or sell the older one for half the money or give it to a friend who really liked to have one...

yah only today i found out about x series i posted on the everdrive forums trying to see if i could possibly sell it or maybe get a refund. The x7 seems pretty hype though

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
