    Technically WinRAR isn't Freeware.
You're only supposed to use for 40 days then pay to continue using, but no-one ever does.
A bit like WinZIP used to be.

When I open it, it says:
Please note that WinRAR is not free software. After a 40 day trial period you must either buy a license or remove it from your computer

Does CCleaner automatically begin scanning and will the freeware fix registry errors or do you have to upgrade it to do this?

    I've got a recommendation:

    f.lux
    http://stereopsis.com/flux/

Works great so your eyes don't get shot on those late nights when the sun goes down 0.0 I use it for all my computers, at least.

They are both programs that optimize your pc for gaming by killing processes unrelated to gaming.

Having problems finding a good program that's freeware that's good for ripping dvds into various formats like mp4 that's not loaded with bloatware and trying to install junk to your computer, anyone have a good recommendation for that one?

Edit: After trying several recommendations, Free Studio does it best without needing a tons of other stuff installed.
