Hacking EmuNAND9 black screen when opened in Homebrew Launcher (Plailect)

Hello. I've been following the Plailect guide for my O3DS. I have reached step 23 of part 2 (https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-2-(9.2.0-Downgrade)) but EmuNAND 9 keeps coming up with a black screen whenever I try to open it. For this part of the guide I was able to skip steps 4-21 as I had already upgraded to 9.2.0-20. To do that I followed the guide (https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Freeway-Browser) but used the link http://go.gateway-3ds.com/ in step 7. I then started Playlet's guide from part 1. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

The guide flatout says it takes several tries to open. Did you have any errors when you upgraded to 9.2?

I've tried about 14 times and it hasn't worked yet but I'll keep on trying. No errors when I upgraded although with the following steps:
16. Go back to the EmuNAND file options menu in Decrypt9 (If you have one)
17. Backup EmuNAND to emuNAND.bin (If you have one)
there was a file options menu and I opening this but when I tried to create a backup it said it couldn't because of the SD card. As it said to only do this "if you have one" I continued with the guide and it seemed to be a success.
