Yeah you can do it in XP mode or use hardware virtualization in VirtualBox.

The flashcart shows up as 2 devicies in VirtualBox. The only flashcarts that don't work in XP Mode or hardware virtualization are those that have multiple storage spaces like those of the EZ-Flash III, G6, F2A Ultra, etc.

You can use any 3V battery to replace the one got in there, doesn't really matter about the mAh. Your gonna replace it when it is dead anyways. Might as well put in a non-rechargable one that way you don't have to charge it anymore. Here are the ones that I use for replacements:

I use this one IF I don't have the correct one above. I run short wires to the contact points and just sticky tape the battery down so it doesn't move.

XP Mode won't read the card correctly, but the software will connect fine to it.

The EFA should draw something like ~3V at 500mAh. Every USB port out there can do that.

Please double click on the "Unknown device" in your Device Manager and do this: http://blogs.6bit.com/josh/wp-content/uplo...-properties.png

Post all the infos it gives. Kthx.

Sorry. I'm over at a friends place now and he has winxp on his home-pc. I tried again over here to install it, using 2.62 from filetrip that, I believe, how_do_i_do_that uploaded, or at least commented on. I would love to tell you all the info found there. The problem is that my my/our computers only shopw the General and drivers option.

EDIT:
I tried another angle and just rightclicked on the file: efaw (in the efa_driver folder) and chose install driver. Nothing really happened.
Afterwards I noticed that if I open the efa client and click search it says

"256 mbit extreme flash advance (efa-linker) found" for half a second before switching back to "no card found" in the top left corner.

Also the white line fills with green and it flashes rapidly to
"read card ok"
and then: "256M efa: Rom left:256MBits. RAM left: 2056KBits"
and then back to the original text: "no card found"

One thought is that it somehow searches and finds the driver I "accidentily" installed, probably on the computer
