Why are you saying 700 dollars? Sure, if you got both, it would exceed 800, but just one is 400, and 400 != 700.

Also price really depends on where you are tbh, I paid $600 for the xbox one at launch and the same for the ps4 here in Australia, so while both consoles may be $400 where you are and where frogboy is, it wouldn't suprise me in the least to find out that it was $600 - $700 somewhere, it was here.

Though this does have to happen eventually, and we're probably better off with games that make use of new hardware as much as possible.

I don't think people get how good this actually is, if devs don't stop making games for last gen consoles then new gen consoles would never sell because you'd still have your old console to play on. I'm glad development of old gen is coming to a rest. Let's move on.
Seeing as how Ubisoft's going to make their games all 900/30 for PS4 and Xbox One that's not really something you'd blame the last-gen for, neither how shitty Destiny turned out to be.
That doesnt matter so much, what matters is that we have more games that arent ported to last gen consoles so new gen console will sell more.
It's not really "new-gen" the consoles have been out and they're current-gen now.
Wii U will only now sell because of Super Smash Bros, PS4 for the multiplatforms and Xbox for Halo/Sunset Overdrive.
Sony looks as though they're distancing themselves from the mentality they had from PS3 and that's quite a shame (i.e, exclusive games) instead it's a console with multiplatforms and indies.
Your joking right? The reason various media has started using the term "walker" is because Rob Zombie was able to copy right the work Zombie about 10 years ago. If you want to use it in your entertainment media of any kind, you have to pay him royalties.
Absolutely agreed. Last gen systems are almost a decade old, it's time to let them go.
One question - did you play the game? I've only ever heard one kind of criticism regarding Destiny so far - "this game that I can't stop playing has some flaws and I find that unacceptable". The game's great - it didn't live up to the hype, but it's a solid multiplayer shooter with great visuals, fun gameplay and polished mechanics, that's enough to call it an excellent game. I clocked well over 100 hours in Destiny and I had a blast.
I haven't but don't give me the bs that I can't complain because I've not played it, the mere fact that the story mode is bare bones is enough to make it a less appealing game to me as that's something I always look forward in video games.
Sure, as long as you completely forget that the focus of this game is not "single player story mode", it's co-operative adventuring.
That, and the story isn't half-bad, actually, it's just very short, which is why I'm looking forward to DLC that'll expand the universe.
Did you say a 100 hours? WTF? I am luck I made it 25 hours and to level 23. The dam thing is so overly repetitive, even for a MMO. Sorry but I hate first person shooter PVP. And the game stopped dropping anything for me but ammo. I have no seen a piece of new armor in over 15 hours of play. Too bad the game doesn't have a hoard or fire fight mode. My friends and I have played a 1000 hours out of Gears 3's hoard mode.
