Anyone able to offer up some advise on modding my dsi housing to funky it up? Am sure there are a few Tim tool time aliens in here with great knowledge

Just need a cap card with non-USB output and a couple screens, one with resistive touch (capacitive is doable, but harder) and the ability to get a case made.A lot of people add see-through cases and LED lighting, often connected to the speaker line so that it's blinking in-sync with the sound, but I find that annoying more than anything. Everything depends on how hardcore you want to go, I suppose. I always enjoyed the idea of a JumboDS, but the level of technical expertise and the amount of money required for such a project surpasses what's available to me.
I would recommend against doing this if you have no experience, get some basic projects done first. There are some nice ones that are less then 20$ USD if I recall correctly. Also, that is not how you spell green. ;-PYeah i've seen a couple of those on youtube. My only problem is i have no knowledge or wiring or l.e.d.s
would try the mod but would use any other leds colours than blue, such as red green or purple. Do u know how difficult wiring would be for the led mod?
Was thinking to do a neon green outer casing, with crystal clear inside casing and using crystal pieces for the slot 2 and battery slot pieces, buttons on inside all neon green matching the casing.
other idea is ive got a black Kingdom hearts branded casing and would do that with white insides black buttons and d pad, xyab in different primary colours, red, blue, grren, yellow
Oh and will vary hinge colours to match internal flip side colouring
I misspelt green once in a post containing the word green several times. Kudos to me for being old school and not using predictive or auto correct spelling tools....even if i did end up looking like a tool myself. Yeah the l.e.d mod wouldnt be first attempt, would do that on 3rd project. Any ideas on how to apply the wiring for the lights? Thanks for the reply, thats some good advice indeed. Bit silly, can you recommend a site thats got good guides on the led mods or possibly a site to be a pre prepped kit. Obviously im years behind the trend, but im very retro lol. Ps what is a dremel cut?To be honest, an LED mod is probably the easiest out of the lot - you just connect a bunch of LEDs together, a resistor for good measure, solder it to the main power line or a separate power supply and you're good to go. It's the most basic electrical mod you can do and there's dozens of guides online on how to do it, there's even ready-made kits for it. If you don't want an electrical mod, paint jobs and dremel cut-outs are cool too when done right. Skins are the least invasive, but there are cool ones out there.
