Gaming Ds Phat: Change Ribbon Cable

Hi! I have a ds phat that, with an hinge broken. When i turn on it the screen is still white. I think that the problem is the ribbon cable, how can I change it? If i change it Have I to change also the top screen?

You have to disassemble it apart, there's a lot of guides on how to do it, also try re-seating the ribbon cable, if you re-seat the ribbon cable and it still shows up a problem, then you'll need to replace the screen (Nintendo's smart way of ''no changing ribbon cables, you send ds to us, we repair for you, $$$)
