This is from Kotaku.com! Did anyone see this yet?

PSPTouchME2_qjpreviewth.png

"Thank a group of homebrew devs, and not Sony, for this. Called the PSPTouchME, this concept image shows an in-the-works touch screen overlay that will cover like a screen protector and connect to the PSP via USB. It will also be possible to connect the PSP to the computer via extra USB port on the PSPTouchME, which screws into the portable's top. It will only support some homebrew games designed to use the add-on. How much will it cost? US $56. No word on if and when this will see a homebrew release. And if it'll actually work, for that matter. Brian Ashcraft"

And this was on the site from PSPupdates:

Q: What is PSPTouchME?
A: PSPTouchME is a touchscreen overlay for the Sony PSP.

Q: How will it work?
A: It will lay over the screen like a screen protector, and connect to the PSP via USB.

Q: Can i connect my PSP to my computer when using this?
A: Yes, we will add another USB port on PSPTouchME and a switch.

Q: Will you release updates for the PIC? (microprocessor)
A: Maybe.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: We are estimating around £30-40 ($56)

Q: Where will i be able to buy one?
A: Here.

Q: How many will be available for purchase on launch?
A: At first, around 100.

Q: When can i buy one?
A: We don't know.

Q: Can i beta test?
A: We have beta testers.

Q: Will this be supported in 0x89?
A: Probably, depends if we can finish PSPTouchME in time.

Q: Will i be able to use this in UMD games and in the XMB?
A: No. (possible...)

Q: Will i be able to use it in all homebrew?
A: No.

Q: So where can i use it?
A: In game's built to be used with this.

Q: How can they/i build a game or application to make use of PSPTouchME?
A: We will release an SIO library for developers?

Q: Will the library be open source?
A: Maybe.

Q: How does PSPTouchME stay on the screen?
A: It screws into the top of the PSP.

Q: Will you ship internationally?
A: Yes.

Fantastic! The PSP is sinking deeper and deeper!

Yes, seen this a while back. With the right programming, you can just about squeeze in two DS screens if you held the PSP vertically... But then you can't play any games that uses buttons along with the touch screen

Either way, you're better off with a DS

This is a joke right?

This is NO joke! The PSP(Community) is trying EVERYTHING to make their "wonder machine" more wonderful... PSP even has Nintendogs type games don't it? Hmmmm, and when asked what they think of the competition, Sony just says "We don't care!" ??? Makes you wonder if that's still true...

Oh boy I love this

It'll never fly Orville...

Nice try, but no, I don't see this as being anything but shoddy and frustrating, especially if they can really make it that cheap.

Cheap = Cheap

Woohoo! The Magic Slate! I remember I used to draw on these and flights gave these away in goody bags. Too bad the goodies for the kids aren't as big as before. They used to give away backpacks but now it's only small plastic bags

So many people, so many opinions! I always love to see both sides of the story. This is a bit off-topic, but I thought it was very interesting, because the PSP is being heavily accused of having no good games, it's slow, everybody's giving up on it...

Videolamer.com article

Well, here's a site that proves otherwise, the comments on the bottom for instance show that here are a lot of PSP owners who don't understand all the commotion, because THEY think the system is more than perfect for them and there are many many good games for it...

It's just so funny to see how people have different opinions.

Maybe someone can explain the barchart in the videolamer article..

It's software sales right? Well, software for the GBA and GBmicro is the same, and the PS3 & "Revolution" ain't out yet (yes I see the asterix, but they still ain't out yet.)
Somethin' smells fishy... or maybe I'm just missing something..
