humm, Windows XP is not relying on MSDos anymore.
It has a limited Dos command line inside windows, or you can restart the computer in full screen MSDos mode (type exit to go back to Windows), but windows itself is not launched from MSdos environement anymore.

XP use NTFS instead of FAT32 too, and pure MSdos works natively in FAT.
There's drivers to make MSdos read NTFS though.

What you are waiting for is more a virtual environement (virtual box port, or VMWare port for PS3).
