Hacking Does VitaFTP (Or any of the other VHBL FTP program) still work on 3.61?

Long story short, I do plan on updating to 3.61 because I need my Vita for next week and it needs to be activated (Tried both of the methods, neither worked for me).

What I'm asking, however, is if the FTP programs on VHBL will still work. I remember reading that while 3.61 does prevent the usage of HENkaku, you can still use the V2 whitelist, custom themes, and VHBL (Strangely enough). So, can anyone verify that those specific programs still work?

Can't you just borrow some guy's PS3? Updating to 3.61 just to be activated is a huge missup for a hack that comes once in a five years.
If you couldn't activate it through PS3, then you just didn't follow instructions carefully.

I don't know anyone who owns a PS3. Also, I did follow the instructions correctly. It didn't work. I went through both processes around 5-8 times before giving up.

As far as keeping HENkaku, I have no need for it at this point. So, why should I force myself to keep it, meanwhile halt any and all activities that require the system to be activated?

Yeah, I know, everyone hates double posts.

So, I took the plunge and updated. Here's what I can confirm:
  1. HENkaku no longer works (Like everyone already knowns). Any attempt to install it will result in an error message saying "restart the browser" (Why is this all in lower case?).
  2. VHBL does still work, along with VitaFTP. So, for those of you who still use PSP homebrew, you're on the clear, for now.
  3. You cannot activate PSM, for some stupid reason. Any attempt to do so will result in a message saying "A DNS server cannot be used".

I wish I saw your post earlier!
You could have just used 'vita activator' which allows you to activate/deactivate your vita with henkaku. No PS3 required.

I thought sony killed PSM completely? I'm pretty sure it's all been removed from their servers.

You're out of touch for one day, and the something important happens. Oh well, you live and learn (I'll excuse myself out).

I figured they'd at least leave the activation files on there. It shouldn't take up more than a couple megs. But, then again, there are a lot of things Sony should be doing that they're not.

Once you update to 3.61 then you can say goobye to henkaku. It took years to find a hole in Vita so once you update then you will need to wait months/years for next hole.
