I'm not sure about you, but my game was 30fps for more than ~90% of the time. That's pretty stable to me. And small drops weren't noticeable.

game theory is a prime example of how to not make a balanced assessment :P. you shouldn't take it too seriously as they never take into account counter evidence, only evidence that supports their guess.

That being said, the fallen timeline makes the most sense. It would have to take place a looooong time after, though. Later than the original game, even.

Honestly my headcanon is that there was a point hundreds of years after Zelda I where Hyrule reached a point of technological advancement that it could be considered a "modern" society (skyscrapers, vehicles, stuff like that), but between the "10,000 years ago" portion of BOTW and the in-game events, Hyrule fell again

This is one of those frame rate drops that people are talking about. Also spoiler, Xenoblade chronicles 2 also doesn't run at stable 30FPS "IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE GAME" (Felt i needed to be a bit clear of what I mean this time)

FUN FACT: both of these games had monolith soft involved in the production. :P

Not to say it couldn't be the Fallen Hero Timeline, but why does it make the most sense? Personally, I can't think of anything about Breath of the Wild that suggests it takes place in the Fallen Hero Timeline.

The fact that there are a lot of visual references to art from LttP and Zelda I, as well as the implication that the universe it takes place in has been ravaged by Ganon rather significantly (although it could be argued that with the amount of time it would have to take place after any game before it, frequency of Ganon showing up in the current timeline could effectively be ignored)

There are a lot of visual references to games from other timelines, too.

The attacks by Calamity Ganon are irrelevant to the timeline placement, since those attacks occurred after whichever game Breath of the Wild succeeds.

These two points are why I don't think it's the Fallen Hero Timeline: There doesn't seem to be anything about the game that suggests it, unlikely some of the arguments for the Child Timeline and the Adult Timeline.

From where I stand, and I havent finished the game yet (ik... dont please), but in the child timeline, ganondorf is killed in Twilight Princess, in the adult timeline, hes killed in Wind Waker
but in the fallen hero timeline, im very not sure, I see him getting resurected, unsealed, etc, over and over again, but ALWAYS as Ganon, never as Ganondorf.
As I've seen in walkthrough, we only see Ganon here, not his human form Ganondorf

So honnestly, I have no idea...
but Fallen Hero Timeline seems to fit...
also, since when does Ganondorf is a machine

Ganondorf has been killed in all three timelines, and Ganon has existed in all three timelines. In addition, Calamity Ganon appears to have tried to regenerate a partially humanoid/Ganondorf form before being prematurely interrupted by Link in Breath of the Wild.

Calamity Ganon is the present embodiment of the curse Demise put on Link and Zelda at the end of Skyward Sword, and since we don't know CG's actual origins aside from that, it's not evidence of any timeline placement.

However, there are other things about CG that point to a Child Timeline placement. The quadruped Dark Beast Ganon has only existed in two games: Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild. In addition, Hyrule Historia suggests that the Ganon in the Fallen Hero Timeline is a mindless monster with no trace of Ganondorf remaining as a result of certain events in the Fallen Hero Timeline, but CG has been shown to exhibit cunning, planning, and he attempted to regenerate a humanoid form.

Also the humanoid form he/it attempted to hold was (perhaps subconscously?) HEAVILY influenced by Ganondorf's TP style

I'm thinking you're probably right about the game taking place in the child timeline

We know that a lot of the Hyrule Historia timeline was formed retroactively once they had a general idea of what they wanted it to look like. Four Swords Adventures seems to have an odd placement in the Child Timeline, but things like the presence of the Gorons at Death Mountain and the Zora at Zora's Domain are why it had to go there retroactively. For similar reasons, Breath of the Wild is likely to be retroactively assigned to the Child Timeline.

Yeah. Even Aonuma doesn't know where it fits in the timeline yet, so we're just gonna have to be happy with whatever they decide in 5 years I guess lol

he felt the need to come in and say "whats the point of knowing the truth about a bad game", it seems a little unnecessary for him to go out of his way like that

Were that the quoted post, I would agree. but the post that drew the complaint was the rebuttal to the one telling him his opinion of the game was wrong.

well, tbh though, if a person doesn't like a game, that isn't inherently bad, not every game fits everyone's interests,

It is already been answered by me with the google link that I sent somewhere in the thread before. Google it and you will find the answer. Again, Nintendo of Japan team said that they aren't sure about the timeline yet. And it was news on August 2017, I think. Google it.

People still debating this and we still have a final DLC to play through that could shed more light on this topic. Still no word from Nintendo on when that will be still, so frustrating!

I personally think fallen timeline, everything else mentioned in the map is reference to those characters lives in the fallen timeline, and koroks are still just an evolved version of kokiri. Zora and Ruto in the same world is still kind of a mystery though. A lot can happen in 10,000 years, and who knows how many other years between the other games.

Good question. Ask them. They say that.
