Do any cellphones have the capability to wake up by having the user look at the front camera?

My cousin has the Google Pixel and when you pick it up and look at it, there's a minimal lock screen. It'll give you the basics like time and such. It's not always accurate, but it is most of the time. I'm not too sure how they do it though.

Battery advancements are made every year to make them smaller and more compact, the problem is investors think there are no profits in owning company's that create battery's (minus the exception of Samsung).
Well, yes, batteries keep improving, but lithium battery tech don't have much more power to give, and as seen with Samsung, it's very possible and dangerous to make mistakes. It's not that no one is looking, it will be tremendously profitable for whoever makes the next breakthrough, it's just really hard to make them as is.
