this could lead to an exploit if there have been crashes...

but if results are that there has been no crashes, then everyone can stop asking about it becasue the exploit may never be.

I think if we just load a big, like a really big image(more thank 4k), DSi may crash.
But I dont have dsi for test

A crash in and of itself is not enough to develop an exploit. If the system gives you an error message, then that means that the "crash" was handled, and useless.

Isnt there a way to exploit an app by having it run out of memory? Isn't that how soundhax/menuhax both work?

Yes, but if the app knows that it's running out of memory, then it's no good. The app needs to run out of memory and actually crash - with no exception handling.

i tried puting a .jpg on the dsi by replacing a previous photo and it did not work, the dsi would not read it, so if you have any idea on how to load a picture i would try it for you!
