Gaming Did I get a defective DSi or was the screen just that bad?

Comparison between DSi (left) and DSi XL (best picture I can do, sorry):

Why is his shoe not propertly in the "ghost" on the DSi version? Those horizontal lines looks terrible during any sort of movement and affects any sprite. It's not just NSMB, it's every game too.

I got a DSi off of eBay to replace my XL because I find the black edges around the DSi XL pixel too large for my taste. But I'll definitely stick with the XL if this is actually how DSi screen are supposed to be (but if they are, why don't any reviews mention it?). I don't remember the DS Lite having this issue.

should be exact same screen as your xl even my ds lite screen is better than that, sorry to say but you have a defective screen right there if its not the same as your xl screen

Thanks for the response. I thought it was defective but wanted to make sure before going through the trouble of returning and buying another. Love the form factor though. I guess I'll wait for a few more people to chime in.
