This has been released for about a week and a half already, but I haven't seen it mentioned yet.

v0.9.10 changelog:

Turned on JIT (dynamic recompiler) for HUGE speedup:

For Windows users: in main menu, choose Config -> Emulation Settings, check “Use dynamic recompiler” or add to command line “–cpu-mode=1″
For Linux users: add to command line “–cpu-mode=1″
For Mac users: In the View menu, choose View > Show Emulation Settings. Then in the Emulation Settings panel, select Dynamic Recompiler.

:download: Download

I've downloaded it and turned on the dynamic recompiler, and wow!
If you were used to playing grindy RPGs while holding the speed up key to blow through battles faster, you'll be amazed at how much faster it is now.

Edit: After a little bit of tinkering around, it seems the new version of DeSmuME has a tendency to delete save files; make sure to backup your save files before trying it out.

A way to load your save files properly is to rename it as a different .sav, then manually import backup memory from the DeSmuME File --> menu.
