Haha that's just the dark theme feature. By default it looks like this (Switched to default icon pack as well):

The dark theme is just a feature for users who would rather prefer a dark interface, but wouldn't want to go through downloading an external theme just for that. So it's actually built in.

I haven't been working on this much until yesterday. Right now, I'm working on an online updater, so that you can update straight through the 3DS itself. Flashing the updates (zip files) are definitely working. I just need to get the download server ready and fix the online updater. There may not be a release until after a while.

It's already been implemented:

I just need to get the file manager working properly, so that it lists all the icons/themes properly. It's being a pain right now, and I'm kinda stuck ATM, but i'll see what I can do

I'd like to have a banner created for this project for future CIA builds. I'm looking for something that involves the top screen:

but with a transparent background, and maybe a new 3ds instead. Or something else artsy, that involves one of the screenshots or something would be nice. The dimensions should be 256x128.

That's the plan, but it hasn't been properly implemented as yet.

Are you trying to run alpha 1? Also, are you running it on an N3DS or an O3DS? (Just curious)
If you tried compiling it recently, there was a problem with a certain file check. I fixed it just last night, so maybe you can try recompiling it with the latest changes. It should work then.

Just so you know, it looked somewhat ugly at first (especially with the small icons) until I implemented bi-linear filtering. Really helped cleaning out and smooth-ening those borders on the textures.

That's funny, it should work. Can you try compiling with the latest commits and see if it works?

I ran into some problems while implementing that. I'll give it a try again. It's definitely one of the planned features for the next alpha release.
