2ayrek: me too tested these games just for a few minutes. Both LostWinds are incompatible with the Mighty Channels — they are starts but gameplay is corrupted — this was confirmed earlier in this topic by a few more users. If you could run one of them smoothly, please, explain to me how you've done that. Pop & My Aquarium just hangs on startup in my case, how did you got them to work?

2R2-D2199: seems like all games are now visible, thank you. There are two major problems left (excluding compatibility of the Mighty Channels):
  • CFG doesn't save position at the WiiWare game launch & always return "cursor" to the previously started Wii or Gamecube title
  • not all title names are detected correctly — id shown instead of the game name

N.B. Under the "Not working" term i mean that the game is not fully workable. For example, "Burn the rope" starts correctly, but when i complete one level it hangs onto the saving screen; next the "Lost Winds" starts & work but a lot of textures are missed so game is unplayable, etc.

oji, if you really want better wiiware compatibility, you have to use neek2o or sneek.
Mighty Channels (and other loaders like Might channels that can load wiiware) will not improve on it unless somebody also improves the compatibility on the cIOS itself.

Etherboss, thank you for advise but current Mighty Channels compatibility is good enough for me, there are just a few titles i'm interested in aren't working — MotoHeroz, Castlevania ReBirth, Art Style series, LostWinds, LostWinds - Winter of the Melodias, Swords & Soldiers, Bonsai Barber & maybe two or three N64 titles. It's much easier for me to install them to the real NAND than trying to make to work uneek or neek2o.

There are only two problems for me in the CFG +MC bundle — some titles are shown as id's & cursor position isn't save on WiiWare title launch.

To be honest, I'm not sure how I might have gotten them to work. I was doing a lot of tinkering, and testing a whole mess of games. I'll take another look at them as soon as I can, but unfortunately that'll be next week (I left my SD card in my Wii U at my mom's house and can't get to it until then). Perhaps we have different IOS's installed?

In the mean time, I also noticed a small issue with the wiiware//VC titles in CFG. It seems that none of them want to save the settings for the games. Settings still save properly for Wii and Gamecube games, and when I manually edited the file to add settings for a VC game, it still wouldn't load them. I think it might be related to the title ID only being 4 characters rather than 6?
This is an issue because while most games launch fine with d2x v10 beta52 base 56, some games seem to want d2x v10 beta52 base 57. When I change the IOS to load those games with, it will work once, but not save.

I've used d2x v10 b52 base 56 for all of my tests and i'll try to change it to base 57 later, thank you for the hint.

UPD - Tested Airport Mania with the base 57 IOS and it's loaded & worked correctly. Have no time today to check other titles. Anyway, as you mentioned above settings for WiiWare games aren't save.

UPD2 - It's also makes sense to try out base 37 & 38 IOSes (245 & 246 cIOS-es in my case)

No, i've played for 10-15 minutes for each. LostWinds - Winter of the Melodias freeze with the base 57 at some point but with the base 37 works well & i've bypassed the problem place. Maybe it's really needs more tests but i can do this only at the weekend.

I have changed the channel detection.
Compatibility should be the same as with Mighty Channels.
appears to fix the issue, but created another problem on my end wile trying your revision.
wile all game titles do appear on screen, nine (unknown) blank titles show up showing no info or reference to the nand backup.

would it be inappropriate of me to ask for the source to review the edits?

I asked if you had played the games for 30-40 minutes or more! It's no problem playing for a while but it ALWAYS freezes when going to another area at some point after a while.. for example I played for like an hour one time before it frooze on me.

Don't want to sound dumb (although I do...), but does this work on Wii U/vWii? I used CFG for ages, but since I heard from my friend that only Wiiflow works, I switched the loader.

CFG works fine on vWii. I actually have a single SD card that I use in both my Wii and Wii U, so that I can use the same savegames on both, so the same version of CFG launches on both. You just have to make sure that, if you install a forwarder, its a vWii compatible forwarder. There's a thread full of them in the Wii U hacking subforum.

Have tested Lost Winds for a more long period and yes, unfortunately, it hangs as mentioned above.
