I agree with slayspud. Two 8800GTs in SLi will be on par or better than the 3870x2, and costs 100-150USD less as well.

I'd recommend about a 650w PSU for the 3870x2, preferable a good branded one like

Corsair (choose the series according to if you want modular, how many watts, and so on)
Antec
OCZ ___Xstream series

Note the P35 motherboards won't support SLi such as 2 8800gt, you'll need an nForce one such as an XFX 780i or the Asus P5n32e.

antec is awesome my antec neopower is still going strong after all these years

dont worry about ram timings just get the fastest memory u can afford 800 or 1066
or higher if ur frisky

personally i would stick with some decent 800 chips

3870x2 meh!
i would stick with a 8800gt 512mb

the premium u pay for that card is not worth the performance

Uh, in terms of performance? Not counting the 9000 series - 8800 Ultra > 8800 GTX > 8800GTS 512 > 8800GT 512 > 3870 512 > 8800GTS 640 > 2900XT 1GB > 3850

8 best for gaming?
well, that would depend on ur price range.

the 3870, 8800gt, 9600 and 8800gs are in that sweet spot of performance vs price, imo

though i dont know how much those cards would be in lithuanian "internet monay!!"
