Codes at the end of rom names

Anyone has a reference list for the meaning of the codes you find at the end of the names of roms in rom sets? like [h2C] or [!] etc... Thanks

I have no idea what "[h2C]" means, but "[!]" on a SNES rom means it's a successful/good dump.

I believe the group who dumped the ROM puts their "code" (as you call it) that has their name in the brackets.

Most of the common ones are listed here:

But some consoles/games have added their own unique codes, so you might need to look into your issue specifically.
