Heey man, what build are you using? i have been playing generations and ik getting 30 frames a secondmost of the timebut somtimes it drops to 25 or even 22 and it is really bugging me

Any modern build is better than old I7 for citra. Due to better clock speed /IPC per core. 8th I3 > 4th gen I7

Gpu don't matter much for citra.

No - for GEN this metod didn't worked at least at sickc's and latest posted builds - just gettin "connection lost" error even in rooms of multiplayer thing

btw sup everyone in this tread - created account to say big thx for your work - guys n ladys u r really awesome.

Tested MH Gen on i7 2600k 4.2Gz +660Ti and ddr3 1600 memory - runs awesome if turn 3d off in game settings BUT as i said online yet not working AND have pretty annoying sound bug that spoil all upscaled game pleasure - after completion of first porthion of village quests (when you got other villages open) game start to crack and rip ears just ewerywhere. I wonder if this trouble known and if this present on mhxx too - cause its really painfull thing. Hope this can be solver or im just dumb and problem on my side.

Some vids of tests: 1st one shows sound bug on 3d on and limited framerate (1st minute) and some gameplay on freshly created char later. When still no rip ear bug. Second is 3d off + unlocked fps gameplay on bugged sound (up to 2.12) and on unbugged later on. Hope this will help somehow and im puttin 'em at right theme cause this vid captured on Citra-CC-Mingw_12_12_2017

Is current Citra supports mhxx online play?

As others have already said "No" but I'll at least throw in this link.

It shows Supported/Not Supported games, while the list is by no means complete and there are more in both sections it already has Gen, X and XX under "Incompatible" while 3U and 4U are "Compatible" but only 2 players.

I don't think any new code has been pushed in regards to Multiplayer since it launched, at least nothing to increase compatibility so for the time being XX isn't going to work.

tested a few games myself comparing to the latest build drwhojan posted

7th dragon - about 20% performance increase, which is nice
mariokart 7, no difference
pokemon sun/moon no difference
pokemon sapphire no diference
mario 3D land - no difference
Zelda ocarina of time - performance has no difference, but this build has better framepacing.

All in all, a better build, and thus deserves the title best build (currently) on the web!

Sorry. I can't change theme. Theme Manager froze.
Probably missing dumps since I didn't dump the entire o2DS NAND(lazy).

I dunno. Smash Bros also have that thing too in the Result Screen when the names pops up. But it goes back to normal afterwards.
I think it's temporary to change the resolution to that in Pokemon. I think so. I dunno since I always play my games on an actual console and only use Citra for testing purposes.

So, I was bored and I did some benchmarking in fraps.
CPU: i3 5010U
GPU: Nvidia GT 930M
Game: Pokemon Ultra Moon (Outlines removed)

Graphic options: 4x Native, Frame limiter ON
Frame limiter is off because if it's on, benchmarks can't be performed correctly, the max fps reaches upwards of 200 fps.

Don't mind the typo in "official". I'm a human too. xD

Conclusions:
  • First of all, kudos to the Official Citra team. Getting that much performance is very good as compared to before. Also, you have beaten the unofficial builds in the min fps department xD
  • @tabnk Good work!
  • @drwhojan As always, good work! Keep it up.
  • tabnk and drwhojan's are the best unofficial builds right now. (For pokemon anyways)
  • and sickc? Oh boy! Yeah, I know, best avg fps. But that aside. Graphical bugs (weird outlines in pelago, sometimes pokemon cut in half) anda corrupted save file once (good thing I backup mine to google drive).
  • If anyone's curious, when the limiter is off, often than not I get 60fps or even more. I get like 80 in single battles. Drops down to like 30 in double battles xD (at 2x-3x native not 4)

Tested a few games.

the speed in pretty much compared to tabnk, except for 7th dragon, the framerate is a bit lower and instable (framerate fluctuates, it is not staying in one place, compared to tabnk build)
The second thing, when upscaling from native to 2x, in pokemon sapphire, the characters do not get scaled properly, tabnk scales everything to 2x.
