Homebrew cIOS Downgrader Updating Question

I have cIOS downgrader installed, and am wondering if I install the 4.0 firmware available through the downgrader, if this will stop the wii system update checks when I put in a game? Specifically, if I put in Tiger Woods 2010, and have the firmware updated to 4.0 through ciOS, will it ask me to update when I run the game?
