Hardware Cheapest place to order White psp?

Hi.

My psp is 2.7.
I thought there were not going to be a downgrade,
so to be able to play loco roco i upgraded to 2.7

That was a big mistake for me.
Now i am out for a new one. I dont like the black one as it doesnt match my ds and my computer.
And i'm a poor student.
So i was thinking maybe you can help me to find the cheapest place that ships to sweden,
and doesnt charge more for the shipping then for the console

It would be really really big help.

I'm confused here.. if you're a poor student, and already have a black 2.7 PSP, why would you want a white 2.7 PSP?
Anyway, I think Lik-Sang ships for free. Not sure.

Chances are the new White PSPs are 2.7...i strongly do not suggest taking the dive into buying another one.

You can check eBay for some units and ask the person what the firmware is...but White PSPs are very risky cause they are usually the ones containing the TA-82 boards (ie. the ones with 2.71 firmware)

My suggestion is to hang onto your PSP and either wait for a proper downgrade solution or use Undiluted Platinum (if you're willing to risk your PSP)

Step 1. Buy black PSP with firmware of choice.
Step 2. Pop open black PSP
Step 3. Pop open white PSP
Step 4. Swap innards
Step 5. Sell black PSP.
Step 6. Be happy and not out quite as much money as if you bought another white PSP.

Actually thats really a great idea...just hopefully you don't screw up when you're changing all the buttons.

yes, a great idea! and don't worry, unscrewing your psp is not that hard but it takes a little time. i did my first screen exchange in 2h and the second one in half an hour, lol. the back parts are a bit more tricky though.

There is a key somewhere

Where a "A" letter = firmware version 1 "B" = 1.5 firmware.

I live in the UK and they sell white PSPs if not very soon. It might be better to buy in person. Search google to see if you can find that key.

My point was that you probably can't buy a white PSP that's not 2.7. Honestly, just wait for a downgrader, there will be one.

Hi, that´s not true, you can also downgrade a new psp with firmware 2.6.
I bought a white value pack with loco roco for 249€ today and everything works fine

There was a letter "I" on the back that means it was firmware 2.6 on it.
But you have to look inside the umd slot if it´s the right board.

why don't you just mod your PSP with the Undiluted Platinum modchip ?? ... Im sure that the price of a UP modchip + installation is lower then that of a new PSP

Ick, heck no. do NOT go for the modchip. The homebrew devs are making that thing useless, go check out the progress of things like devhook over at psp.qj.net

2.7 downgrading is no longer a dream, and 2.7 emulation is already a reality. There's a homemade fw to boot up devhook at startup, devhook can run 1.5 apps in 2.7 mode as well as do everything else a 2.7 can.

Again I say, screw UP....wait, that doesnt sound right...SCREW UNDILUTED PLATINUM!! Whee!
