Homebrew can i use my hdd on another wii

i have my white wii in NY with me and it has my entire library of games on it and i am going down to vist my grandma in NC and she has a black wii that is a couple years newer than mine im wondering since both wiis have homebrew can i use my hdd that has all my games on her wii do i just plug it in or are the files that are unique to my wii

IIRC the saves are in the console itself, but the USB games will work between both Wiis.
