Hacking Can i use a gc adapter?

Currently, i am using a 2tb wall powered on the back (1usb) for my wiiu games
I have a 1tb usb powered with an y cable with gamecube games on. (2ports)
I want to buy a gamecube adapter (2ports)

I heard a rumor that you can plug only 1 ports of the gc adapter, its removes rumble but works flawlesly?

Any suggestion?

Note: I have to Stealth my gamecube HDD if i leave it plugged permanently.

Yes using only one port with the GC adapter works and like you said you lose rumble.
