That is unless the data in the XGD3 area isn't "pressed" in a special way.
Chances are a hardware mod will come out to inject the XGD3 data into the DVD drive's reader when the LBA is equal to the XGD3 area on the disc. Similar to what was done on the PSOne modchips.
