Same again, getting booted.

Was ok before, since ive rebooted its back. Was getting the notice before when the game starts 'since this is your first time playing will setup hardware blah blah....' Dont get that now.Tried updating punkbuster but it just says no new updates available.

How do you get it to work with XFire or cant you on cracked servers.

Try joining a different CoD 5 server, it could be there fault too.

And XFire automatically recognizes the game. And yes it works here on cracked servers.

Hi all! I have some problems with game itself. Some weird stuff is happening. When I started the game for the first time there was no profile selection, the main menu was the first screen I saw (i'm talking about singleplayer but it's getting the same thing on MP). When I try to start a game, single player, after selecting New game and choosing which difficulty level I'll use, nothing happens... It keeps getting on New game/Continue game screen

So I can't get it playing at all...

Someone has a clue how to deal with it? Thanx anyway.

P.S.Is there a crack for patched SP file?

Maybe try to uninstall and reinstall first.
I haven't made a profile myself on multiplayer, even though it asks me to do it all the time.
I just say no everytime and I can still play cracked online.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but that didn't help. I read somewhere, that you need to create a profile in SP first to play with it on MP. But I can't create a profile nowhere...

In the SP you have to click Select Online Profile to make one.

But like I said, I don't have a Profile and it still works.
But try it, it may help.

How do you get Xfire to start a game though, every time i bring down the console with `key it just starts it up in punkbuster by default.

I don't start my games with XFire, I've never even tried that.

I do it like this:

Start CoD WaW multiplayer
Open the console with the button under escape button
Type this: connect 91.121.147.129:28962
And press enter

And it works.

I got mine from GameTracker.com, never had a non working server there

Your right, seems to be a problem with some servers.

Ok all sorted again and happy.

Got to say the game is amazing, best so far ive played in the series.

When a person I know wants to join a cracked server it says he has been kicked by Punkbuster, because he has no name...
But he can't change it, because he doesn't find it in the multiplayer options. It just isnt there.

How can he fix this?
He has XP and has patch 1.1 of the game.

well, my graphic card doesnt support shader 3.0......

i've read that cod5 has the same engine like cod4.

if that is true is there a possibility that a shader 2.0 fix could be released??

because cod4 runs relatively good....

I've found the solution to this problem myself:

You should go to:

Vista: Browse to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players
or
Windows XP: “Users” is called “Documents and Settings”

And then make a text file 'active.txt' in that folder. and then just add the name of the profile in that file.

Now close the .txt file, and start the game.

Now it should be fine

I cant open the console in the MP game any more using the ` key. Have tryed restoring keys to default.

Any ideas please.

I can get the console working again, have deleted the profile txt. But when it try to enter a ip it will not start a game a just keeps locking up.
