Hacking Buying a N3DS from a different Region

I'm looking to buy a couple of N3DS from PAL and JP because of price cover plate packs, and really only plan to use them to play games with the Gateway.

I know there's a guide posted on changing the region, and if I do so and change both of their regions to NTSC, will there be anything else I need to be aware of?

Just get the AC:HHD bundle. I did that, it comes on 9.8, so you can downgrade. Though I've not changed region
