The computer recognized the SD card now that I shortened the cable.
Let's write the backup!
Let's hope it works.

IT WORKED! MY 3DS IS ALIVE!!
THANK YOU EVERYONE!
Sorry but how did you did that ? It drive me crazy because I always lost the tiny plastic lock pin. Can a simple solder solve that ? If yes can you post a picture of your work ?Ah ha! It is missing!
I'll just solder the 2 outside pins together, then.

Ok thanksYeah. I simply soldered the two outside pins with a simple wire.
Ok thanks
No problem.
Just started updating my 3DS the right way with sysUpdater. Haha! I wasted so much time with this... Oh well. At least I have a nice NAND mod now.
EDIT: Works like a charm on 9.0.0-20. YEAH!
For me, $0.00. I used an old mouse cable with 6 wires inside (only used 4, of course). I also used a no-name brand MicroSD card reader that didn't cost me anything, and I already had the soldering stuff needed. What was the total cost of materials for this? I might do it for my system as a proactive measure.
well its would beYeah, I ain't got shit. No mouse, no soldering tools, none of that. I haven't soldered anything since high school science class.
