A while back, I heard about Black Rock Shooter getting a localization sometime next year by NIS but I can't be too sure as there hasn't been a release date. So keep your pants on.

I've been playing without a patch. I can't read Japanese but I'm sure you can get a summary of the story somewhere online. The gameplay is fun even if you don't know what's going on! XD
