Hacking Backing up/restoring save to legitimate cart?

I would like to know how to go about taking a backup save file (which is on a regular CycloDS Evo if the format matters) and putting it on the official cart of that particular game, effectively making that the game's real save file. Aside from the Cyclo, I have an old slot-2 Supercard SD cart to work with if that would help the process at all. If I need to use a savegame converter to alter the format for it to work, I'd like to know which save format to convert it to as well. This is using a regular DS, btw.

This will allow you to dump/restore saves from retail carts. You might need to use the wifi version if you don't have a 3in1.
