Anyone know where the 3DS saves the backups when you back them up? If so, would I be able to
1) move them from my SD card
2) format my system
3) put them back on the SD card
4) then restore the data?

Also, the backups you make with Home and System Settings are encrypted to your console anyway (never mind the fact they're blocked on most important games)

K, well I don't see how this has anything to do with "Homebrew Development and Emulators", but whatever.
Thanks for the response, tho. I did do some research and nowhere did it tell me WHERE it stores any of the back ups. I did, however, take action as soon as I posted this and did some digging on my own and found them in a folder with a long, ridiculous name.

It's somewhere in the Nintendo 3ds folder on your sd card. No you can't export them to other 3ds's and no you cannot import them from other 3ds's.
