Some of these are old now so if you have trouble finding them you can just grab them all from my site.
In the downloads section, under Nintendo DS Software / Homebrew Games.

I have only tried it a couple of times quickly but I found it to be ROCK hard. Unbelievably hard.

Thought I was a hardcore gamer, obviously not!

I think the co. also made some GBA games (I might be wrong since I mix up the too many games I play)..
you may want to check out Iridion II in particular as that has a similar style & viewpoint.

I thought this guy was looking for ds specific shooters ?
If you want to take a look at other consoles then pce, sega saturn, dc and ps2 have the best shumps out there.
I recommend Magical Chase and Coryoon on the pce. Radiant Silvergun, Layer Section and Soukyugurentai for the Saturn.
Ikaruga and Border Down on dc. Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou, ESPgaluda, Mushihimesama, Ibara and Gradius V for the ps2.

Now if only Cave would port Ketsui to ps2 i'd be happy as larry. But from what i was reading at the shmups forums it seems very unlikely

Remake Snes Area51 for DS... and i'll be singing

I think you meant Area 88/UN Squadron. That could be released on GBA, easily. Gradius Galaxies is on GBA, so you can play it on your DS

I bet some of Kenta Cho's games could run on the DS.

I'd love to play a danmaku where the ship is controlled with the stylus and the player uses the shoulder triggers or something to shoot. I think I'll do that once I decide on a flashcart.
