Super Mario Advance 4 finally released on the eShop, with every single e-Reader level in the ROM itself, and with it, a special modified ROM that does just that, embedded in the Virtual Console emulator.

The original post was me asking if someone could investigate it, but a few people here did just that, and released a set of patches for a SMA4 ROM that alter it to add all 38 eReader levels, just like the eShop's release.

GBAtemp Downloads - .xdelta patch

So Super Mario Advance 4 finally released on the eShop, and it includes every single e-Reader level, even the Japan only ones, and even the "Mad Dash" lost level!

Now, what I'm here to ask, is can someone investigate the e-World level data? Are the levels stored in a save file like the other saves for SMA4 ROMs floating around? Are the levels embedded in the ROM itself, instead, in this release? And either way, would it be possible to dump the ROM or save data from the Wii U and distribute them here (save) or somewhere else (if it's in the ROM itself) That would be amazing, as the only versions of Mad Dash we have available are recreations.

Thank you!

The Wii U VC rom itself is officially hacked because the original release can only save up to 32 levels at once, the VC release was tweaked to remove this limit and adds all of the extra levels to the main level data itself.

Also the official release of Mad Dash, now known as "No Time To Dawdle" has been dumped nearly 2 years ago thanks to a Youtuber named MJ_Stoxx as s/he obtained the official super rare level and dumped the .sav file for anyone to use with their JP Cartridge/Rom

Did you know that there is a Wii U page equilvalent to THAT iso site for the 3DS? :P
Although, that site does not have the SMA4 dump yet. :/

It seems to be much desired since its release in a ROM format.

So it turns out it's likely a modified ROM, as the original game only allowed you to hold 32 levels on the cartridge at any given point, while this lets you play all 38 levels.

It would be amazing if someone can get an IPS patch out there!
