i don't know where to put this thread but i do have a question
i have a japanese 3ds and i want to know if i can play pokemon x/y i bought from the philippines

Well hard to mistake a japanese version. The label, manual, and box, are all in japanese.

I'm sorry for the last sentence, I'm about to buy the cartridge here in philippines and i remember that 3ds is region locked. but some people says that it can play pokemon series

If it is written Pokémon, the cartridge will not work on a japanese 3DS.
If it is written ポケットモンスター, it will.

Yes, Pokémon is multilingual.
