Use "Network update" to get the 2.80 Eboot.

huh? if i use network update it will update my psp to offical firmware? and why 2.80 Eboot?

what he meant i think is get a 1.50 call it update.pbp and put in a folder called recovery and place it in your game folder and go into recovery mode when switching on your psp by holding r then u can launch that eboot.

have you tried grabbing the 3.80 update (eboot.pbp) from www.playstation.com instead (and then renaming it to 380.pbp?
it's possible that the one you got from psp-hacks.com somehow messed up during your download.
