So, I've been looking around on how to get the new Skyward Sword to work on a softmodded Wii and it has me curious, is there a way to bypass the whole Motion Plus factor?

I don't have any motion plus controllers - so that's why I'm asking, and I don't know how in depth the motion plus feature is embedded in the gameplay.

The game would suck without it. Just buy a Motion+, it's really not that expensive.

No one has done it because any game that uses it would be absolutely worthless. I'm sure it's possible somehow, but it'd just be pointless to do it.

Actually there is a cheat for it, but then most of the game is impossible to control.

What is this "cheat" you speak of?

Oh, I guess it was just for the demo:

It doesn't matter anyway, since you still couldn't play the game.

I think there is a code that allows one to play the game without Wii MotionPlus, but it's utterly worthless. You won't get very far. You need to go out and buy a Wii MotionPlus.

The WiiMotion Plus is used to control the sword play and most other items. Since the swordplay differs very much from the "waggling" in Twilight Princess and you have to be very precise about the way you swing the wii remote/Link's sword, there is no point in playing without WM+.

You can't play it without motion plus, you need to kill some enemies precise.

How many of these threads do we need? >_>

Anyway, based on the reports from the demo, what you can do without a motion+ is: Stab. And... Stab.... and.... sometimes stab. While it is possible to get a bit into the game with just stabing, you wont get far. Actually I dont even know if you can control the bird without m+.
