We learn from GBAtemp member 8BitWalugi the release of the very first PS3 custom firmware by KaKaRoTo. The hacker has released a tool that converts a standard v3.55 Sony retail firmware PUP, into a custom version which allows installation of PKG files without a PS jailbreak device.
