    i installed cios rev9 and the usblaoder. then when i connect my harrdrive and run usbloader it wont recognise my usb comes up with the error message after 40seconds "could not initialise usb subsystem! (ret = -6). lock and delete the thread i updated to rev10 and 1.4loader and all is good...

    no. im not that much of a noob. Nothing is connected into the wii's usb ports. it seems like cios usb2 attempts to instal via the network, is it possible to set it to load the necessary files locally?

    i can play games online with it. im using the official nintendo usb wifi adapter. and above the error it says "initialising network: Done!"

    i use WUM as well to get rid of the updates. no problems ever. if it doesnt load then geckOS it is.

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

    @Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
