Official hakchi2 - NES Mini very simple pimp tool

Has anyone tested whether optimizing the cover art sizes would allow for more games to fit? I'm not sure if its a space issue or a filesystem issue that is the limiting factor here. Hakchi2 spits out png files that are rather large. After running all my covers (about 14 extra games) through a...

Hacking BAGOS the Scriptable Menu replacement!

Well that break went on longer than expected. Unfortunately, I never did get around to working on a the text editor, but I have made some progress on the interpreter side of things. I've been working on an interactive terminal mode for the PC/Linux build to make testing little bits of code...

    Hacking DSTwo Homebrew Soft-Reset?

There is no way for me to actually get the default plugin menu to redirect its loading through my DSTwo.nds. So you're stuck using BAGPlug or iMenu, unless you're up to programming your own plugin menu :grog: .

    Hacking DSTwo Homebrew Soft-Reset?

You could try using iMenu, you just need to make sure you're using the DStwo.nds provided by BAGPlug. The soft reset only works for newer homebrews that have been compiled with this feature in mind, so compatibility is fairly low in the older homebrews.

    Homebrew BAGPlug (SCDS2 Entry)

I have no clue why that happens. The only thing I can think of is maybe the rom title is using a unicode character (that funny e) and it isn't written correctly to the ini file, or it is and EOS doesn't like it.

    Homebrew BAGPlug (SCDS2 Entry)

Unfortunately there is no way to stop it from asking. The reason it asks you is in case you want to use other programs to open your files (maybe your zip file contains a gameboy game rather than a snes game, etc), and nds files are treated just like any other file. Using the default option...

Hacking BAGOS the Scriptable Menu replacement!

Another Update: Not much progress on the menu side of things. I am currently working on updating / improving the NDS build of BAGASMI to try and enter the neoflash competition again. Hopefully, this time around there won't be as much confusion as to what it is and does. The NDS build of...

Hacking The SuperCard DSTWO Beginner's Guide: How to Setup the DSTWO

I'm not sure if the difference between the English and Chinese Supercards extends into compatibility (in game language?) or simply just menu languages; If it's just the latter, you could always install a third-party menu to piggy-back on EOS (like iMenu or BAGPlug) which do support other...

    Homebrew BAGPlug (SCDS2 Entry)

It's not possible to return to BAGPlug from a commercial NDS game, only NDS homebrew (using the latest dstwo.nds, and if the homebrew supports it) and DS2 plugins.

Hacking BAGOS the Scriptable Menu replacement!

Status update: Progress has been slow due to a recent acquisition of Animal Crossing New Leaf (Sorry!). What's currently going on outside of Animal Crossing: Still updating the wiki for ini files and cpu frequency Done now! Started adding a fancy font system which will end the next update...

    Homebrew BAGPlug (SCDS2 Entry)

You would need to find an .nds program that can launch the slot 2 card since the DS2 sdk has no access to such thing.

    Homebrew BAGPlug (SCDS2 Entry)

Download/copy the Dstwo.nds that comes with EOS to your sd card and run it (you can just boot it in BAGPlug). It should then ask if you want to update.

Hacking BAGOS the Scriptable Menu replacement!

New update! Check the first post for the link. Includes: Ini file reading/writing/modification New sprite drawing system. You can now draw and change a sprite multiple times per frame without using more than one sprite slot. Currently you'll only be able to draw up to 32 objects per frame...

Hacking BAGOS the Scriptable Menu replacement!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I just finished writing exams for the semester so now I should have a little time to do things. The next update is in the works and currently has: ini file opening / reading New sprite drawing system. You can now draw and change a sprite multiple times per frame...

    Hacking TempGBA: NDSGBA revival

If a NULL buffer is returned, it's looping infinitely probably since the buffers aren't flushed until ds2_updateAudio() is called to do so. If need be, you could try using the 0.13 sdk which has the 16 audio buffers to see if it works any better. Chances are you wouldn't be able to fill all 16...
