Hacking Is installing game updates available within wud dumps possible?

That's not a bad idea actually, but I don't know if it's possible. I'll try to start the installed BOTW game with the disc in the drive and see if it reads it. However, this solution is suboptimal in that if your dvd unit is not working at some point in the future then it's not feasible to...

Hacking Is installing game updates available within wud dumps possible?

Hi! I am new to the Wii U scene, 2nd hand prices were too tempting to not try out. Along with my new (old) wii u, I also bought a physical copy of Zelda BOTW. I have haxchi up and running, so I was able to dump the DVD using wudump. From the wud file I could extract the game using Jwudtool...

    Homebrew RELEASE VBA-next for Switch(works 4.1)

If I'm not mistaken this is due to hekate hack for loading the homebrew launcher, not to the emulator itself. Once atmosphere is upon us these glitches will go away.

Homebrew RELEASE GameBoy Advance Emulator port - gdkGBA (works on 5.0)

@jakibaki many thanks for the effort put into emulating GBA, I hope it was a good learning experience. It definitely earned you quite a bunch of karma points (or so I hope)! Keep the work good and doing good things for the community, cheers!

    Homebrew RELEASE VBA-next for Switch(works 4.1)

A quick note to report that Zelda Minish Cap runs beautifully with v0.2 (downloaded from github), sound is pretty much perfect and so are graphics. Really good work, full screen would be appreciated but to be totally honest it's great as it is. Thanks to the OP for the good work!

Homebrew RELEASE GameBoy Advance Emulator port - gdkGBA (works on 5.0)

Hi ownedlol, thanks for reporting on the playability of minish cap. How about the sound, did it get any better? I'll try it tonight once I put the baby to sleep, can't wait!

Homebrew RELEASE GameBoy Advance Emulator port - gdkGBA (works on 5.0)

What do you mean it's an emulator based issue, sound cannot improve for this particular emu in the future? I haven't tried any other games than minish cap but the sound makes the game difficult to play (except turning the volume all the way down). It would be a shame :(

Ah, nice! thanks for the tip. How can we use another bios? Copy it to /Switch/bios/gba_bios.bin?

Homebrew RELEASE GameBoy Advance Emulator port - gdkGBA (works on 5.0)

Same problem here, the game is not playable, can't get past the select save slot page (I presume, bc the graphics are messed up). Any workarounds would be really welcome.

Hacking Problem with retroarch and sd2vita

Quick update, I could restore attributes for all folder from windows by running: attrib -H -S d:\*.* /D /S (replace D: by the letter of your drive) Not really sure why 90% of the folders in the SD card were tagged as System+Hidden. Maybe they are meant to be like this. Maybe somebody can shed...

Hacking Problem with retroarch and sd2vita

Thanks @Zukov, that worked, the data folder is now visible for retroarch. I guess the next step is to mount the SD in the PC and try to change the attributes for all the folders. Didn't see any options in vitashell for this. Will update the post when I'm done. By the way, retroarch now goes to...

Hacking Problem with retroarch and sd2vita

I am having some issues with retroarch not seeing my ux0: sd2vita storage correctly. Only some folders (3 to precise) can be browsed when I click on the ux0: partition from the "Load Content" menu. "Load Cores" gives the same issue, for some reason not all folders in ux0 are accessible. I am...

    Hacking Flashcard firmware backups

Replying to my own questions, I was able to bring my flashcart back to life by following the instructions on 3ds.guide/troubleshooting Truned out that the problem was in the 3ds, not the flashcart. Some people just lose the ability to use flashcarts after installing CFW. Cheers

    Hacking Flashcard firmware backups

Hi, thanks to the OP for this thread, I am trying to restore my R4i gold RTS flashcart (r4ids.cn) but so far have been unable. Tried with all the firmwares in 3ds.guide plus the relevant ones in the mega folder of the first post. No luck so far. I always get the r4i recognized by the 3ds, but...

Homebrew 3DS Region Change from JPN to EUR

Homebrew 3DS Region Change from JPN to EUR

I am on the same situation. Seems weird you have to chose the file for the device and region you are, and not for the region you want to go to. Is this a typo in the guide or really the right way to do it? In this case, what region do you end up having, are you given the option to chose it...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Just got my hands on a N3DS-XL. Bad news is JAP, and all the UI is in pure japanese. My question is, can I change the language using CFW? I know there should be no issues playing games from other regions once I install Luma, but I'm wondering if I'll be stuck with a fully japanese interface. Not...
