    Pin 33 is GND for backlight, GBA SP controls backlight from GND side and that is why brightness mod is soldered to that pin.

    Can you take a photo from other side? Never replace capacitor with short circuit, it will damage your motherboard. Your soldering iron is probably too hot.

    This is only on/off if you want low setting additional resistor is needed but I haven't done that mod. Yes Yes I think on those tutorials they also change motherboard to AGS-101 version.

    Don't cut that trace. It looks like on your board revision trace goes under display connector I don't know if it is possible to cut it. Where you have soldered gnd wire it looks like solder touches cpu pins that will possibly damage your board.

    Wire is not soldered there, it goes through hole on the motherboard and it is soldered to display connector.

    GCN Gamecube Screen too bright...even the TV settings won't help much.

    PAL SNES RGB cable is different than PAL Gamecube RGB cable. SNES cable has resistors and Gamecube cable has capacitors. SNES cable gives darker picture with Gamecube than it should be.

    Do you get 12V if you measure from two solder points on back side of screen. Dont use DA-1 it doesn't give enough current and voltage goes to low.

    Yes backlit screen needs 11-13V and front lit screen uses 5V.
