Homebrew CaVE Database Manager - A SNES, NES, N64, Genesis Switch Online modding App

I seem to be having issues with running "Tactics Ogre" in the GBA. It was always one of my fav games. A number of other games I put in have worked fine. Clicking on the game causes it to make the noise like it launched, but it stays on the title select screen. Cave 1.4.6.3 GBA update 1.5.0 (but...

Final Fantasy XVI gets a new gameplay trailer, releases Summer 2023

Lol! Not sure where you grew up, but I've been playing FF since its inception. And war and violence are mainstays of every single FF game, without exception. I'm going through another playthrough of FF5 atm. Exdeath here destroying entire towns. Let's not forget what Cecil did in the intro of...

Homebrew Alternative to Devmenu for 9.1.0+?

Ever since a Civ6 update broke a save game, I've been looking for something that would reset the version (and actually work!). Thank you!

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

CECDs cannot be combined. Individual boxes within a CECD could be manipulated, but I don't personally know how to recombine all those boxes into a working CECD. So unless you want to modify the hex of the unextracted CECD to achieve what you'd like, you'll have to wait until the CEC Tool is...

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

You and me both. I just spoke with the coder working on this app two days ago. They say they've been busy lately and will hopefully get back into it soon.

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

It does if you use it properly. It will not change the Miis already stored in Mii Plaza. The CECD must also have its CMAC fixed before it'll be usable. No. Someone is currently working on an app that can inject SP data into your CECD directly. We can't inject yet, but when we do, Nintendo...

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

Yeah, you can use the SP data in the way you described as long as the outboxes have been set up in the CECD you are using. For instance, if my CECD has "Mario 3D Land" set up, then any console that passes the console that has this CECD injected will get streetpass data for that game. You can...

Nope. I've got plenty of SPs with myself.

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

An app is being worked on that involves downloading boxes and injecting them into a CECD.

If you have StreetPasses that have not been loaded into a game, you can trade them.

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Inside the CECD are a series of boxes representing games that have had SP enabled. Your Outbox for a game is sent to the Inbox of another console. You can review the Reddit thread StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes for more info.

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

Based on this suggestion, there is now some progress being made on creating an app to export/import boxes to/from a centralized database instead of manually messing with CECD files. No promises, but I think everyone would appreciate a simple SP sharing app that will work indefinitely beyond EOL...

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

I'm definitely looking into this. Typically I've just been extracting the boxes using 3ds-save-tool (because the CECD is a generic DISA filesystem format), but I've had no way to recombine them. I would just find the file I want to change by searching for its hex in the original CECD then...

Tutorial StreetPass 2: Rise from the Ashes

This is a work in progress If you were disheartened to hear of the demise of HomePass, then know that there is an alternative now. It is not elegant by any means, but you can share your StreetPass file; that is, every StreetPass you've accumulated but haven't used are stored in a single file...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

I don't think we're gonna get to the point where we can have our consoles act like they are passing one another in the wild. Right now, the best we can do is exchange CECD files that contain the transmissions that we desire. I do not have a CECD with Tomodachi, btw.

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

I actually wrote up something about Mii Plaza saves in my 3DShacks Guide. The method you linked deals with backing up the current system save data for the plaza games as well as the current meeting data (StreetPasses that have already been transferred from the CECD), playing, then restoring the...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Oh, and I can keep reusing my existing StreetPasses over and over as long as I keep a backup of my CECD and overwrite my existing one with that every time I exhaust the transmissions. This is something everyone can do for a few extra until we get a new relay system up.

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Apparently a few of you like what I posted, and I really wish I could do more (my coding skills are mediocre at best), so let me be the first to toss my OutBox file on here so people can take a look at it. I don't think you can just toss it in the InBox of a game without also manipulating the...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

I was wondering about an alternative, so I decrypted and extracted the contents of the CECD (system save 00010026), since it's in a standard DISA filesystem format. There are a number of files and folders contained within, but most notably there is an "OutBox" folder in each SPID folder...
