Homebrew TownManager - An AC:NL town management tool

Sorry for the delay, but did something happen from the time you used it when it worked to now? An update of some kind perhaps? Some kind of mod?

Homebrew TownManager - An AC:NL town management tool

Sorry for the long wait. I'm not on GBATemp too often. I'll try to check back more frequently. So did @Stray_'s fix work for you?

Homebrew TownManager - An AC:NL town management tool

Usually when it displays that error, it means you've told TM to use the eShop/CIA version and it can't find a local copy. Are you sure you have a local copy of ACNL on your device? And by that, I mean not the cartridge version? That's a weird fix for the problem. Waiting on @NeonNinjaCat to...

Homebrew TownManager - An AC:NL town management tool

Sorry for the delay! I don't check out GBATemp too too often. Could you explain again EXACTLY what you want @N7Kopper and @NeonNinjaCat? I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. Something about integrating JKSM's save folders into TownManager?

Homebrew TownManager - An AC:NL town management tool

I actually have never seen that before. I had the idea after I heard people in the AC Discord talking about how they bought extra copies of the game in order to have multiple towns. I figured "well, I can make homebrew, so why don't I just make an app for that?" And so I did! Glad you like it...

ROM Hack Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor

Was trying to test a feature that supposedly allows you to edit the villager that's in the campsite. I set the villager to "Rosie" and saved. The garden_plus.dat file saved to my Downloads folder. I loaded the garden_plus.dat file in Downloads up and it reverted back to the original villager...

ROM Hack Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor

That guide was probably written before the update. The offsets are different now and also the checksums will be written differently too. You're going to have to wait until we figure this all out.

ROM Hack Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor

@marc_max Hey, thanks for working on this. I have a question about the checksums. How do you figure out where the offsets for the checksums go? Also how long they need to be? How did you figure out where those are and how long they are? I'm maintaining Pocket-NLSE and I'm also trying to figure...

ROM Hack Structure of garden.dat (AC:NL) request

Is that easier to modify? EDIT: It's not. At least it seems to have a similar structure to garden.dat in that tiles aren't always sequential. So that doesn't really help. Maybe the source code to NLSE will help.

ROM Hack Structure of garden.dat (AC:NL) request

I'm trying to search through the file via a hex editor in order to replace values. I'm getting some information from the AC:NL save editor, but I can't figure out the structure of the file with what I know now. Can someone point me in the direction of some resources outlining how garden.dat is...

Hacking System transfer via NAND backup?

Hey all, I'm thinking about getting a New 3DS XL, selling my old normal 3DS. I want to somehow backup my data, sell the console, and then restore it onto the new device. My concern is that backing up the old sysNAND and then flashing that onto the new console might brick it since the hardware...
