Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I checked that after i got that error when putting shield on, I put Kapton tape below and above the left side GPIO row on the pico and made sure there were no bridges, touching wires on the board etc. Since I've done this and reassembled I got the **= error once more, but i've rebooted a bunch...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

added another 47ohm resistor onto dat0 and cmd, was initially able to boot around 50 times without fail but after screwing the shield onto the back i got the **= error again. unscrewed it, powered the switch back on, booted no problem. kept the shield off, kept on rebooting for a while to test...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

flashed a rp2040 w/ picofly and installed it, it boots :) but **= error still happens a little more rarely now. I got rid of the FPCB that connects 3.3v, clk, cmd etc. to a ribbon cable as i do not need it anymore. Booted the Switch about 60 times, 2 times the LED codes showed again. I missed...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I understand your frustration with the existence and use of these chips and I agree. I have a few RP2040 dev boards lying around so I will prepare and install my own RP2040 board soon then, just need to get resistors. If the LED error still happens after replacement I will ask for support here...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

would it really make that much of a difference installing a HWfly-shaped Picofly vs. a 'virgin'/'OEM' RP2040 Picofly? it runs the same FW as Picofly (shipped with 2.74, downgraded to 2.73) can access with picofly toolbox etc.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hi, just performed a picofly install on a Switch OLED w/ one of those chinese boards that come with the FPCBs and am just suffering one small issue. There is a 10-20% chance the Picofly errors with code **= or *=* and then the Switch boots normally into OFW. The rest of the time it boots into...

    Switch OLED teardown V1/V2

Is there any way to test if the HWFLY modchip works/powers on without having to wire the entire chip up? I messed up my first install (no lights on modchip, no boot on console) and am gonna attempt on a 2nd Switch OLED, but I don't want to go through the hassle of all the wiring just to have a...

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

The French guide provided a Certificate.cert file that isn't mine, I think I heard somewhere it was the same cert from CDNSP?

Hacking [PSA] LayeredFS is causing Banwave!!!

used layeredfs for backups a few times, however no ban (yet) I did make sure to have error sharing off ever since I got my switch, and whenever I booted into cfw I'd have wifi turned off. (except once, oops) but yeah, if I do end up getting banned i'll be sure to post again in this thread
