Thanks! So using SDSetup is no longer used/recommended? I remember using it last time as it bundled a bunch of things together but not sure if there's any advantage over just getting atmosphere from the official repo
So I'm REALLY out of the loop on the current "meta" of switch hacks, so I'll shoot here:
I just revived my V1 switch with autorcm (was out of charge, just charged and booted it back up) and it's on sys version 9.2 and atmosphere 0.10.5.
What's the current best method for updating? (both sys to...
So I have my switch on Airplane mode and haven't used it in a while. OFW is 8.1.0 and Atmosphere is 0.9.2
If I want to update to latest OFW and ATM, I should:
1-Download latest atms, replace on sd
2-Get and download FW files from *somewhere*
3-Update OFW with Choidujour?
Thanks I'm a bit...
Quickie one. I am using one of the latest kosmos with autoRCM, but am on FW 5.1 I believe, in airplane mode since forever.
What's the best way to update to the latest FW without risking going online and getting a ban? Getting the update files and using choidujour?
So if this were to be the case, and emunand was a single file, would it be largen than 4gb? Because in that case you'd be pretty much forced to use exFat
Yes it's slowly coming to shape! Now just wait for emunand and we're all set.
Now, why do people jump the gun on these unnoficial, untested releases? EVEN if it's an official release, you're better off giving it a few weeks to iron out the (unavoidable) issues and bugs that come the first time...
You can downgrade to any firmware you want, anytime, no matter the fuses.
BUT
To boot it if you burned more fuses than the corresponding ones for that FW, you'd still need to use a custom bootloader (in essence rcm exploit ) since the official one will refuse to do so.
So even if you did...
So I want to switch from rajnx to kosmos (generated from the sdsetup wizard). Thing is, I have updated without burning fuses, from 3.0 to 5.1. Does the included payload have the option to boot cfw+nogc fuse check?
Also this wouldn't burn fuses on reboot to hekate, right?
hexkyz has confirmed so here:

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. If that's the case, please block this thread.
Basically hexkyz explained how TX did it (in broad terms), I mean, there's plenty of skilled people in the open scene, I don't see why they couldn't code it...?
